Microneedling (deep)
with PRP
Addresses signs of aging by causing thousands of microscopic injuries inducing the body’s natural healing factors, sending collagen and elastin to repair and rejuvenate the skin. It minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, as well acne scars, thinning (crepey skin), and stretch marks.
The Micro-Needling Procedure is preformed by using a small tool with a varying number of microscopic needles. Needle length adjusts depending on the treatment area. When applied to skin, it created controlled microscopic wounds that are invisible to the naked eye. The micro-injuries to the skin initiate the skin’s repair process which includes naturally producing collagen to the affected area. Even when the procedure includes no topical treatment, the rush of collagen and elastin to heal these microscopic wounds improves the skin’s appearance. Micro needle therapy is minimally invasive.
Micro-Needling creates thousands of microscopic channels in the skin, making it fertile ground for a topical application like PRP. Platelet Rich Plasma is a concentration of platelets in the blood that are crucial to wound healing. When used for skin rejuvenation, PRP releases growth factors into the skin to expedite the body’s own repair process and stimulate new collagen and elastin. The micro channels allow even distribution across the treatment area as well as absorption into deeper layers of the skin. To obtain PRP, your doctor places a vial of your own blood into a centrifuge, separating the platelets from the blood.
Micro-Needling is an excellent treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, but the true power of this treatment is unleashed when used with PRP.
Visible improvement appears about 1-2 weeks from the time of treatment. Optimal results are achieved with a series of 3-6 treatments spaced out 4-6 weeks apart. Extreme acne scaring could take up to 6-8 treatment for best results.
